Time to Show Your Age - Who Was Your Teen Crush?

Other than Jonathan Rhys Meyers, of course. ?

Ditto! One of my sixth grade classmates invited Bobby Sherman to our spring musical. He didn’t show up.

James Brolin (from the Marcus Welby, MD years)
Robby Benson
Andy Gibb
Joe Namath
Carl Yastrzemski
Phil Esposito

My older brother was nine years older and I often crushed on his high school and college friends. ?

Donny Osmond.

A lot of my friends crushed on my older brother. That was sooo irritating.

“One of my sixth grade classmates invited Bobby Sherman to our spring musical. He didn’t show up.”

Guess that only worked for Marcia Brady. (Davy Jones)

Speaking of…were any of The Monkees your crush? I feel like maybe I was a little young when they were on - they seemed “old” to/for me.

I can’t remember any celebrity crushes, but as a younger teen I tended to get crushes on teachers and student teachers. My friend and I did some really embarrassing things which these days would be called stalking! I’m actually facebook friends with one of the poor victims now. He must have been flattered because he doesn’t accept that many requests from former students- it would just be too many. Once we started to have more appropriate boyfriends, we stopped that behavior, fortunately.

Same here but he is younger.

That was probably even more irritating.

@hrh19, because you listed Phil Esposito I know at least one person will understand who I’m talking about when I say my crush was Derek Sanderson.

I’m prob a bit older than most cc-ers. and my first crush…I was a tween…was Bobby Rydell. Then Richard Chamberlain of Dr Kildare. I was almost 16 when the Beatles arrived on the scene, so Paul McCartney for most of the rest of the '60s.

@oneofthosemoms, Yes! He had great hair!

My family is a big hockey family. My D and her friends crushed on Zach Parise, Sidney Crosby, Henrik Lundqvist, Patrick Sharp, and Mikko Koivu.

A lot of my friends crushed on my older brother. That was sooo irritating.

Same here, but girls had crushes on BOTH of my older brothers!

David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Sean Connery in the early Bond movies.

Agree with Lenny Kravitz and he still is. Also Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street. And Prince!

I liked George Harrison the best of the Beatles, but I was always more of a Mick Jagger girl.

In my early teens, Davy Jones and Paul McCartney. In my late teens, Paul Newman.
My favorite baseball player (not quite a crush) was Jerry Koosman of the Mets, but my dream was to get to know him by babysitting his kids.

Oh the memories this question brings! Posters I for SURE had on my wall:

Michael Jackson
Prince (Goodness was my mom upset about the Dirty Minds poster on my wall. She made me take it down! LOL)
Rick Springfield
Pierce Brosnan (Remington Steele anyone? swoon)
Marcus Allen (football player)

Alydar

I was not into guys (or gals) at all in my youth. I don’t even recognize 90% of the names on this thread.

I knew a lot of pedigrees though, and was super disappointed when Alydar ended up as first runner up - not even an upset.

I still don’t know most Hollywood stars or singers. If you watched the Big Bang Theory with Sheldon and Penny testing each other with flash cards, I relate well to Sheldon, except I have no desire to study for any flash card test. The science ones I don’t need to study for. I teach those!

Do not take me on as a Trivia partner if you expect me to pull my weight with the Entertainment category. If you need help with Science, I’m your gal.

I’m surprised just how many of you went for older (wo)men in your youth; do you all end up with older partners?

I was boy crazy - I had so many crushes, but the big ones were:

Almost the entire cast of the movie The Outsiders, with Rob Lowe and Matt Dillon at the top of the list.
Johnny Depp
Jason Patric
Chris Cornell (?RIP)
Willem Dafoe
Viggo Mortensen
Brad Pitt

I still find myself blushing when watching Brad Pitt in certain movies.
