Yeah, but he told me you have Emory 20 mins away and UGA like 1 1/2 hours away. Also, you have Atlanta which is pretty great.

He said UGA/Emory parties are “the bomb.com”

He said the Indian girls there are really pretty too.

Aniruddh, get some imagination. It’s like, two letters different from mine. Waaaahhh!!
PLUS it makes you sound like a girl user.

Arun- I wore some 11th farewell. I don’t need very high ones, but those are the ones that actually look good! Anyway, I was just exaggerating. I’ll be fine, promise. :)

Pixie-Haha same, I love Wellesley a lot and I don’t want to love Yale, because the thought of getting attached to Yale is too scary for words.
Also, when I go back to India after Grad I am so going to Ladakh. It’s on my list of places to see before I die, right up with Macchu Pichu, Istanbul, Petra, and The Easter Islands. I also want to visit the North East. When I think about it, I haven’t visited over 3/4ths of India :O

HAHAHA

Among other things, what attracts me to GT is the cross-enrollment ops with Emory. That’s really awesome :D

pixie- He isn’t gonna approve it anyway so most probably I’m sticking with aniruddhc

One of my friends got a 26 in ACT.

*Bubbles

Where do most of you want to live after schooling? I’m thinking LA or SF (California), Boston, or NY and I wouldn’t mind NJ.

I wanna visit India so bad!!!

Yeah, ani, that’s awesome. Emory is only 20 mins away. It would be absurd if they didn’t.

Idk if I could ever live in the South after growing up in the NE. The culture is so different. People in the South are deff more humble and just nicer people overall. However, they tend to be a bit racist in the South. Cities in the South are great though.

Why are people so against the south?

[DAE think that high-schools and colleges aren’t teaching kids enough street smarts (credit cards, budgeting, tax returns etc.)? : DoesAnybodyElse](Reddit - Dive into anything)

I don’t think I want to live in America after schooling. Just a random thought. Lets see how the Japanese thing works out.
Fact is, I like Anime because I first learnt about the beauty of Japanese culture from it, and not Japan because I like Anime. Korean and chinese culture is very interesting too.But finally, I’m coming back. I have a suspicion that I’m going to come out with a different major from the one I am going in with.

Bdw, arun, French is the most logical language. It’s given in our 12th english coursebook. :p

*
My friend’s cousin went to Emory and then Emory Med and now works at Cornell. :)

Haha in some ways it is. It’s systematic, like Sanskrit. But like every language, it has it’s quirks too. Unfortunately, French’s quirks tend to p*ss you off rather than impress you. Or maybe that’s just me.

Bubbles, why don’t you make another username with ‘bubbles’ in it? It’d be the same and you wouldn’t have to keep on writing *bubbles in it. If you do it now, then you wouldn’t lose post count of midnightsanity (not that this forum helps).

I think it is too early for me to decide. I want to take some time off and travel. My list is too long. I am a huge fan of Tibetan culture and I definitely want to go to Tibet. (Dalai Lama is my hero. I saw him when he came to our town and it was most memorable.) I also want to go to Bhutan. Costa Rica is another country I want to visit …

I’d love to visit the South of India. The culture there is so unique and the scenery is simply breath-taking. I am pretty sure I won’t, at least in the near future, but I’d definitely like to some day.

This is gonna sound really bad.
I just finished my Yale Supplement. My second Yale Supplement. Yesterday both my laptops crashed, and one of them was running CHKDSK (Has anyone had this on theirs? It is. bloody. infuriating.), which took several hours in the night. I thought I’d stay up till it was done, but I ended up falling asleep and waking up at 5 am, realizing that my light was still on and the laptop had been on all night. It was fixed, and basically I had a HUGE idea for my Yale Supplement, which I immediately proceeded writing. I finished now, along with everything else, and I’d prefer sending this one because it’s just as personal and it’s much shorter than my original essay.
I need a slight favor though. Is anyone willing to look over it? No grammar checks or anything, just tell me your impression and let me know if some areas sound too contrived or anything of the sort. The experience is rather unique, so I’d appreciate if you didn’t spread it around if you decide to read it. Also, this is only if you have time to spare today, ignore this otherwise. I shall be ever so grateful if you do decide to do this.

PrincetonDreams, yes, there is a lot to see in southern India. Most of my time in India was spent in the coastal region (west coast) of Karnataka and Kerala. It is very beautiful over there.

Thinking about India, one of my favorite books about India is Paul Brunton’s A Search in Secret India. I really like the way Brunton describes his experiences. This is how I came to know about Raman Maharshi (or Maharshi Raman?) - one of the great philosophers of 20th century.

Happy New Year!

Arunemo, should you feel comfortable enough you can PM me your Yale Supplement.

Haha not that I have an abundance of spare time, still I think it’d be fun reading your Yale supp, given the kind of writer you are.

Yeah Happy Nyoo Year everyone. :p

नये साल की हार्दिक शुभकामनायें! :)
