I am so incredibly amazed at your tenacity for sticking through until the end of the month. I got my acceptance at the 18th, and I was already dying from anticipation, and I was sure that I wouldn’t be able to carry on. I couldn’t imagine doing what you guys did. You’re are headed to great colleges, and have great futures ahead of you.

I applaud you guys. If you’re able to stick out this hell for this long, then anything else should be a piece of cake.

i know you wrote this with the idea of complementing us, but i still feel it as you’re shoving your admission in my face. i just dont think this was a good time to say that. sorry

it doesnt change the fact that i didnt get in.
and that other people with wackkkkk grades/sat scores/classes got in…
F@@#$@# the racial quota. i bet i would have gotten in if i were alaskan/nativeamerican/africanamerican.
i swear, i bet you i would have.

too bad that i tried hard in school,
too bad that i’m korean because i really got to choose what ethnicity i got to be born,
too bad that my parents worked hard when they came to america so that we’re middle class.

but thank u hehe.
even tho i wasnt an active member >_<

its not ur fault i didnt get in… yeahp haha sorry for my rant up there.

*****ing about it won’t make it any better so why bother to post your sob story? It’s not the end of the world, get over it.

As for me, I’m still waiting. But hey, if I don’t get in then big whoop… going to my second choice school isn’t going to kill me or completely ruin my life.

… and there are no racial quotas. They’re unconstitutional, you should have learned about UC Regents V Bakke in your USH class. That being said, I think they might have just accepted as many as they could and then just threw out the rest, and I gotta say, thats pretty shady.

there is no affirmative actions in the UC and the point that duface brought up is quite plausible. taking as much as tehy can then hit the reject all button seems like a likely possibility seeing how they were already accepting people since feb

chrislksrockets, why do you have to be such an insolent moron? Just because gk777 expressed her “sob story” in which she had a harsh life, you have to bash her for expressing her disdain over her rejection? Lot’s of people have reasons for having to go to certain colleges; how do YOU know what someone ELSES motives are? Pretentious prick.

I have posted before. my D got admiited for less than stellar grade (3.65 gpa, SAT 1 of 1760, 6 APs (4 tested and 3 scored 3, 49 each A-G semesters). Her hook is being a second degree Black Belt in kenpo karate and a sparring champion. She goes to the UCI Bren Events Center twice a year for tournament.

I think Adcom is looking for a rounded class with kids who are experts in their own area of interest rather than just all smart kids.

IMHO, you are all wonderful and will go well nothing where you decided to go. Best of luck.
