There is a huge discrepancy between the estimated annual total tuition cost and the sum of per credit hours cost, (total of 30 credits).
The sum of credit hours was 11.4k including fees whereas estimated annual total tuition and fee was 15k. This is a huge difference.
So I asked Student Financial Services about it and apparently once you are a full time (9-16 credits a semester), you have to pay a fixed amount. This means that full time students, per credit pay about 25% more (and I’m not trying to imply anything here).
I’d just like to know exactly how much students paid, when you calculated your per credit cost, or just your annual cost for tuition and fees. I’m trying to calculate my budget and I’m not getting a clear answer from anywhere. Did you pay around 15k?
Like I wrote there, that’s how I got my estimate. It’s an estimate and that’s why I wanted to know the real cost
Here’s the list that the Board of Visitors approved, which I assume has the same tuition numbers as the Student Financial Services website I posted above:

Do you know what the difference between guaranteed tuition and full-time tuition is? Thanks! I think the estimate shows about 700 dollars less for some reason (fee is more expensive) and other fees included, it goes over 16k. I definitely take all the loans I was awarded with and I would stil need some money
Thank you
How do you get certain fees to not be charged to you, or can you? Such as “personal” and “travel” fees that are rolled into the total. I don’t need either of those. How can you get your total to reflect NOT adding those in?
Personal expenses and travel expenses are listed to aid family budgeting. Those costs are not charged by UVa. Of course, travel expenses will vary greatly from one student to another.

Guaranteed tuition is an optional program.
