To those who were accepted to Glasgow University: what were your SAT scores?

First try I got a 1930, aiming for a 1980. Would that be a safe score?

hmm anyone?

University of Glasgow has a horrifying drop out rate. Why is that? I heard Glasgow is a pretty rough city right?

It deterred me from applying. I love Edinburgh and St Andrews though.

Hmm, I would consider them too but I don’t know if I could get in… Do you know the average SAT scores for either of them?

The reason Glasgow has a high drop out rate is because they ask for low grades but have very high quality courses in order to produce the best graduates. Because of this, many of the people who got in easily couldn’t handle it.

As for the city of Glasgow, it is the perfect student city. It’s like a bit of a lesser version of London but far cheaper. It is much better than Edinburgh, and only the East End is rough.

Oh my. Lookie here it’s Ramcito.

I must confess that I rather disagree with Ramocito on this - Glasgow is an interesting city, but it is certainly rougher than most other British cities. That said, it’s certainly a very good university.

By the way, St. Andrews is very twee and Tea-shoppy (a bit like Durham, if you’ve been there) - it’s very nice, but certainly not as lively as Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Does Glassglow provide full-rides to internationals?
