Care to share what the band is? We want to know if we are old too… ![]()
It’s Cake.
Ok, I’m old…. ![]()
I had a really long car commute back in the day. The radio station I liked to listen to played Short Skirt/Long Jacket to death! ![]()
ETA: the commute was pretty much the reason I got to listen to a lot of stuff I would have never heard otherwise!
Those are songs? Just noise to me. ![]()
And annoying at that.
One of my all time favorite scenes from a movie! ![]()
My husband and I periodically quote Marty when we hear some new song our ears can’t bear!
My niece told me she’s running her first marathon this fall. I realized when I ran that same race, she was not even born, I was only 1 year older than she is, and I had already been running marathons for 9 years. Ack!!!
That’s their only song I could name.
Watching replays of PanPacs at Irvine. After the men’s 50 meter free, the commentators decided to dip into some swimming history: the 50 M men’s event held at that same pool in 2010 and how great that winner was, both as a swimmer and as a person! Geez! I remember timing that kid at a local age group meet!…
Me too, although I also remember Never There, too!
A pay phone in the video! That is old!
The news story about Columbia House shutting down kept talking about them selling multiple CDs as an introductory offer. Um, that’s how I built my collection of cassette tapes!
I was speaking with a 30 year old (around my daughter’s age) and she said that she felt old because now that she is 30 she started worrying about skin cancer. So I am now old enough to have a kid worrying about skin cancer. Compared to all my friends my age who have been there done that - Mohls, light treatment, chemical treatment, etc.
For a silly work activity, we all had to submit a baby picture for a “yearbook” activity. (I’m still working part time). My pic was the only one in black and white. ![]()
Sounds like a fun new thread for CC: “Share Your Baby Picture!”
When my boss retired we were asked for a picture from the year he started (mid-90s) - I was one of the few who was an actual adult in my picture. Most were young children. A few had not yet been born. These are professionals, with master’s degrees.
