Medicare with the extra plans isn’t a bargain for us. It is actually more than our current premiums using the state marketplace!
Wow! DH’s monthly premium is around $180 and he never has to pay for anything plus gets $600 a year he can use for skiing. My premium is $999 and I get nothing and pay for everything.
H and I both signed up for Medicare Part B this summer since his company was purchased by another company and the healthcare they are providing is expensive for the employees. H and I both have Part B (and we have to pay additional $$ because of our income), a Part G supplemental plan and a drug plan. Costs for both of us monthly is about $950 total. Because we are in California we stuck with traditional Medicare and not an advantage plan.

You have what I have and what my husband will have in January - it has worked well for me and as long as the powers in DC don’t screw it up and turn it into some kind of Advantage where they make the insurance companies decide if you get healthcare or not, it should work well for DH too. It’s been a breeze and all my doctors take it with no questions and no payment issues.

First thing that popped up was “Wichita Lineman.” I am a Glen Campbell fan and have listened to that recently….didn’t realize who wrote it. Galveston as well. I am not good at recognizing the behind the scenes folks who should get more credit.
