Tonight’s Football Snacks

An annual thread.

It’s a low interest SuperBowl year for us.

But it IS an excuse for a snacky Sunday dinner! What’s on your SB menu???

We have lots of leftovers from entertaining this week but I think we are going to do either a big plate of nachos to share and some guacamole for me - or a variation of this Frito Pie:

We had no plans until D and SIL asked us over. I baked iced sugar cookies ( I was planning to anyway) , so I’m taking some.

Very low interest here. Wearing our Lions/Ravens gear over to a neighbor’s and bringing homemade spicy sourdough crackers with hot crab dip. Will mingle for a while and walk back home in time to get to bed early. Meh.

We are staying home…and having corn chowder. No snacks.

I looked at the half time show line up, and I’m not sure I’ll even watch that.

According to the evening news, an average American Super Bowl watcher consumes 6,000 calories during the game day. I’m cutting up veggies to bring down that average.

Our good friends host a big party every year. There will be steak, fresh caught blue fin tuna and lobster. I’m making buffalo chicken dip, a big salad and chocolate chip cookies.

We are going to a party. I’m bringing “cheese steak” apps - baguette rounds with roast beef, sautéed onions and peppers, garlic sauce, melted provolone

We’re staying home, having all apps for dinner- guacamole and chips, carrot fritters with pistachio sauce and spicy baked crackers.

Not gonna watch since the outcome has been determined  not sure if this link will work because it comes from golf world, marine parks, Facebook page but if it doesn’t go to their Facebook page, it’s adorable

I’m sure H will wear his Josh Allen jersey. No snacks and a light dinner here thanks to an early morning medical appointment that requires some special preparation that sadly doesn’t include nachos. H is thrilled.
