I finished my bachelor’s degree earlier than I expected and now I’m looking for a grad school in the US that still accepts applications for the coming fall semester. Is there any chance? I have a bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies, I’d like to do my master’s degree in communications / Asian languages (not sure if there’s a way to combine those…).

Look for universities that offer these programs, then check the application dates. If you can pay for the full cost without any aid, pick up the phone and give the departments a call. They may be happy to take you.

I’m interested in grad schools in California, but when I checked their deadlines they all seemed to closed the application process. I don’t need financial aid. Do you think I still have a chance? I am not that familiar with the US education system, can you think of any universities where I might have a chance?

Since you won’t need any aid, you should contact the specific departments and/or professors who you would like to work with, as well as the graduate admissions offices. They are the only ones who can tell you whether or not this is possible.
