top 15 most prestigious universities

Here is my version of the private university rankings taken from hax0rz

Harvard

Stanford

MIT

UPenn

Columbia

Duke

Washington University in St. Louis

University of Chicago

Dartmouth

Cornell/ Brown

Zebra. I know you are young, but c’mon. What about Yale and Princeton?

What is it about WUSTL that you dislike so much. Really, I am interested?

Yea Zebrafish, don’t forget the P and Y!

I editted your list for you:

**

 1. Harvard / Yale

Princeton

Stanford

MIT

UPenn

Columbia

Duke

Washington University in St. Louis

University of Chicago

Dartmouth

Cornell

Brown **

just can’t seem to distinguish between Harvard and Yale in terms of prestige. Both very elite schools.

personally:

Harvard

Princeton

Yale

MIT

Columbia

Stanford
7/8. Chicago, Caltech
9/10. Brown, Dartmouth
11/12/13. Penn, Berkeley, Duke
14/15. Cornell, Northwestern

I think that Dartmouth and Brown go before University of Chicago.

At your previous post: see above, also, self-aggrandizing acceptees (note that i didn’t use the word attendees)

Actually zebrafish, I looked at your list and I would actually put Cornell higher.

**

 1. Harvard / Yale

Princeton

Stanford

MIT

UPenn

Columbia

Duke

Washington University in St. Louis

University of Chicago

Cornell

Brown

Dartmouth
**

Most prestigious publics I say are UC Berkeley, UVA, and UCLA.

Harvard, Princeton, Yale, MIT, Stanford, Columbia, Caltech, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Chicago, Penn, Brown, Cornell, Duke, Brown

also what questionable admissions practices does WashU practice?

there’s threads upon threads of this, look at rjk’s post

where are the threads? im curious to see it.

@ “I think that Dartmouth and Brown go before University of Chicago.”
cool

“I think that Dartmouth and Brown go before University of Chicago.”

Second this.

Grouped by international prestige only…I tried not to let personal bias or actual academic standards influence my rankings!

Group 1: Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Yale
Group 2:Princeton, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, Sorbonne
Group 3: McGill, Imperial College of London, L’Ecole Polytechnique, MIT
Group 4: Berkeley, Columbia, and a few others tie for this last spot- you choose ;)

(i.e. Brown, Dartmouth, UChicago, etc. etc. etc.)

i like how that directly contradicts with your previous assembled rankings, whale, it’s always good to see uncertainty in action

@travelbug
I think Berkeley should be in Group 1 if the list is for international prestige.
And Johns Hopkins should be in Group 4.

Just because some of you have never heard of UChicago does not erase its prestige. A diploma from UChicago carries immense weight. One only Wash U can dream of having. One must take a national and even global look when dealing with these issues. Brown does not deserve to go above UChicago, but Dartmouth I believe does. Its undergrad program is uncomparable.

@trackster:

This is what I meant:

**1. Harvard / Yale

Princeton

Stanford

MIT

UPenn

Columbia

Duke

Washington University in St. Louis

Brown/ Dartmouth/ Cornell

University of Chicago**

Since when is Yale on even with Harvard. First three are

Harvard
Princeton
Yale

Princeton > Yale
Don’t really know what else to contribute to this XD
