Top chef kentucky

^^^^ Exactly. Waffles from scratch is not a complicated process even with add-ins. While the arena scene was a little awkward -especially for Sarah a local, 3 things:

  1. Sarah was really pushing the white team woman (can’t remember her name!) in the grocery store - white team woman was playing it smart to not say anything - wonder if Sarah would have changed her box mix if she knew at the store?
  2. Tom was the one who brought the idea of “you’re not using a box mix are you” to white team woman in the kitchen. She paused and then did share. She could have said nothing but also I think she did see an “opportunity” to get the truth out. I think she did feel a little awkward about that from the start…but also, COMPETITION.
  3. Sarah all season seems a little entitled. I don’t personally care for her. She should definitely know that box mix is not ok - even if you doctor it up.

Eddie just cracks me up. I really like him.

Adrienne (white team chef) also pointed out to Sarah while they were waiting for the judge’s verdict that everyone’s ingredients were out visible on their carts so Tom could have/would have easily seen the box mix on Sarah’s cart anyway. And I agree that everyone knows by now on Top Chef that shortcuts are not appreciated especially for something that is relatively simple to do. It does not take a large amount of time to make waffle batter in the scheme of things.

But hey, at least she didn’t just buy some Eggos!

Adrienne - I just couldn’t come up with her name!

It was particularly hard for Sarah because she is a UK fan and I felt for her but she was lucky to advance.

Is it weird to anyone else that for Top Chef Kentucky they are going to China for the “finals”??? I figure there will be at least two episodes of “finals” but will they come back to Kentucky???

I’m sad that one of my favs was eliminated. One less than perfect meal and you are out. This chef plated too soon.

^^^ I really thought that Adrienne was going to go. I like her too but thought she would be out the door. I was hoping Eddie would have won Last Chance.

Sara posted on freight house FB last week that last episode was last Kentucky episode. She has been featuring her Top Chef dishes on the menu recently. I would love to go sample, but the weather here has been horrible and I’ve been hibernating. She is pregnant and due in a few months (April?), so lots of excitement for her in the next few months.
