OOPs SA TX - TMI the Episcopal School of Texas

How do you define “top”?

DC: Washington International School (for the IB program, anyway)

NYC: Trinity, Horace Mann, Dalton, Spence, Chapin, Collegiate, Fieldston, Regis (b/c of the application process)…

Westchester/Greenwich: Hackley, Masters, Holy Child, Rye Country Day, Greenwich Academy, Brunswick.

In NYC, you definitely have to add Nightingale-Bamford and Brearly, 2 of the big 4 girls schools, along with Spence and Chapin. You could also make a case for Riverdale Country Day School.

Ptribecca/ bluestar Many good schools in NYC. Does Calhoun qualify?
Ptribecca, I’m assuming that maybe by your name, you live in NYC. If so, do you have any opinions on The Gotham Bar and Grill?

prepparent: 1) the one time i went to the gotham bar and grill, i remember really liking it. i’d definitely recommend it.
2) i’m really not that familiar with calhoun. i think (at least w/ my family and friends) if you’re looking at schools like the trinities, horace manns, daltons, etc of the city, you’re definitely not going to be looking at calhoun since they’re so different. it seems to be a very quirky, progressive type school, and i think if you want to go the progressive education route, the best bet is st. ann’s in brooklyn. that said, i think that people who go to calhoun love it.

Los Angeles: Harvard-Westlake (Avg. SAT, 1375), Marlborough, Polytechnic
