Top schools for international students

I am kind of international because my greencard is pending. My parents both got their greencards already, but mine is just slow. it sucks though because I never considered schools on international basis :(

so what top schools accept a substial amount of international students AND offer pretty good financial aid?

I know of the HYPM, Williams, and Middlebury, but what else?

also, again just top schools because I am california resident so I can just go to UCs
thanks!

Those are among the colleges that accept the least international applicants, percentage-wise.

Good news: I don’t think you will be considered an international applicant. You live in the States and you are about to get your Green Card (What are the odds that you will receive it before college starts in September? That’s all colleges care about!)

well I think admission wise I am actually not, but I am for financial aid because they can’t ask the US governmetn for money until I am registered as a permanent resident lol

what I meant, is that among the top schools (I am thinking top 20 for National Universites), which ones off the best aid for internationals.

If you get your green card before the start of the school year, you can apply for federal aid just like everyone else. And if you let colleges know, they will take that into account and won’t consider you an international applicant in the first place.

Of course, that would require that you would actually get your green card within the next half year or so.

MIT guarantees to meet full need for internationals.

well b@r!um, I called a couple schools like Stanford and they are just going to consider me like every US student. so i guess no biggy after all :)

mikalye, MIT would be the M in HYPM, but ya they give pretty good international financial aid
