so just like all of yall
im doing all i can to reach that number 1 or 2 slot
and traditionally at my school
it hasnt been the kids who take the heavy all ap load
(the salutatorian was the varsity QB and has take 1 ap class all 4 years)
im currently a jr, and my senior year schedule is leaning towards:

AP Spanish
Trigonometry
AP Government
Physics
Economy/Photography
AP English Literature

you get 5 points for ap classes (85=90)
im debating the ap spanish (for the 5 points) or just a random elective like girls weights or something for the easy A. all the other classes i pretty much have to take in order to graduate.
PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINION!!! WHAT HAVE VALEDICTORIANS DONE AT YOUR SCHOOL??!!

the val at my school needs to have some honors/AP to get over the 4.0 mark and thus get the highest GPA (honors gives you half a grade higher on your GPA B+=A- and AP gives you a whole grade higher B+=A+).

Hmm, our valadictorian basic requirements is 4 years of all solid classes including a foriegn language (that’s where a lot of kids get screwed, can’t fit that 4th year in or are just taking year 3 sr. yr 'cause of schedule problems their soph or jr year). They like consistansy (sp?) in your electives- ex 4 years of band or chior, 4 yrs in the Ag Ed program, etc. GPA & ACT/SAT factor in too, but I don’t know how much 'cause I didn’t know anyone’s ACT or SAT from this year’s class (I think Salutatorian had about 29 or 30 ACT)

Challenge yourself. The girl at my school who got into Princeton took SEVEN AP’s her senior year. She wasn’t one of the top three…but hey, she DID get into Princeton.

i’m a full IB candidate, so i have a pretty full schedule:
IB HL Topics of the 20th century
IB Math SL 2 (basically Calc)
IB HL Physics 2
IB HL English 2
IB TOK
IB SL Spanish 2
Journalism 4

Plus i have do complete like 100 hours of community service and write a 4000 word extended essay

so, it’ll be a pretty tough year, but it should pay off

oh, and my school has a lot of valedictorians (anyone with a 4.0+)
