Track and field help

I was wondering if any one knows good workouts such as intervals workouts that help you be able to run faster. Also if anyone has tried high jump or long jump, how’s is it and which one is harder. I would like to know ways to shave off seconds from your time.

What event do you run?

Sprinting, my best are 100m and 200m but my coach also sometimes puts me in the 400m

If you’re interested in HIIT workouts, bursts of sprinting at a speed that you cannot maintain for more than 60 seconds are good. When I do it, I like to sprint 30-60 seconds, then walk for a minute, and repeat that for a little while.

Exercises that benefit you aerobically need not be long or steady. Even when you’re lifting weights (assuming you’re lifting hard), you get aerobic exercise. Being a sprinter, lifting weights to increase your strength could make you faster too. Link to an article on this, <a href=“Hearst Magazines”>Hearst Magazines;
