Trader Joe's Top 10

Harvardmom, my vegetarian daughter discovered this herself for our family, AND she added the Garlic Naan bread to the mix. We eat the green beans cooked as you describe like a wrap with the naan. YUM.

Had to bump this up cause I’m taking a road trip to TJ’s…!

Any good new stuff you’ve discovered???

We have become addicted to the peach salsa. Also tried and loved the cacciatore simmer sauce with a firm white fish.

Needing suggestions of TJ food that is backpack friendly. As in the backpacking in the wilderness not the backpack you carry to school.

Not long ago I bought a TJ trail mix in individual vacuum packed packages - bought it specifically for niece/husband who like to hike.

Spicy and Tangy Almonds, Chile Spiced Pineapple (dried pineapple). Both are pretty spicy and delicious.

Multigrain Baking Mix makes the best pancakes and waffles.

Cedarwood and Sage Multi-Purpose Cleaner—does a better job than Windex!

We are also addicted to the Peach Salsa.

Count me in as another peach salsa fan. That’s a must have for every shopping trip. My very favorite snacks are the mini rice crackers found in the freezer aisle.

For outside camping-the dried hard salami logs-plain, rosemary, merlot flavored), foil pouched Indian Fare(heat by submersion of foil pouch in boiling water)esp the pav bhaji and jaipur veggies, mini bagels, dried fruit, nuts, boxed soy or rice milk, bug off, eco soap, sunblock, lip block, multiple types of Cliff,Tiger, Luna bars

What a fun trip TJ’s always is…the kids enjoy going as well and each one always picks something new to try…did buy the salsa today!!! :)

Bought some gotta-have-every-trip: hummus, steel cut oats, mini pb cups, frozen fruit for smoothies, etc.

Splurged on the dunkers: oatmeal cranberry AND chocolate chip!

Another soft spot area…the fresh bread, bagels, etc…couldn’t pass up the sourdough and a couple variety of bagels!!!

Next trip I will have to try the peach salsa. Last trip I picked up the chocolate covered mini peanut butter crackers. They were okay nothing special. Not enough salty flavor for my taste. I also tried the chocolate chip dunkers dipped in chocolate. I prefer the plain chocolate chip. I also stock up on the frozen cheese pizzas for when my son has friends over. They doctor them up with more cheese and oddly peppercini’s. My family also likes the lemonade.

I’ve become addicted to the pumpernickel pretzels. Which is bad, because that means TJ’s will discontinue them. :)

Have I mentioned those flavored greek yogurts? Mango-apricot, fig, strawberry. The spouse is a HUGE fan.

What is it about greek yogurt that people seem to love so much? I don’t know if I’ve ever had it…maybe a sample at Costco once…but I often hear raves about it.

Greek yogurt is thicker and tangier. Use the plain unsweetened kind in this [Recipe: Tangy frozen lemon yogurt - Los Angeles Times - calendarlive.com](<a href=“Entertainment & Arts”>Entertainment & Arts)

i buy the plain organic greek yogurt, sweeten it with a small squirt of blue agave syrup (also at TJs) and top it with fresh fruit. Good stuff. No water on top like other yogurts…just thick and creamy. I read that it has more protein since the water is sifted out.
The meat section has expanded at our local TJs…the organic chicken is good and the price is slightly better than whole foods.
Frozen avocado.
Organic light string cheese
Edamame (fresh)
Flavored green tea (unsweetened)
Brown rice packs (frozen)
Oh…and for a guilty treat, those gummi bear things with the liquid in the belly. Don’t even want to look at the ingredients. Taste great!

Gummi penguins with liquid bellies - love 'em.

On my last visit I found out that the fresh bruschetta has been discontinued - bummer.

They used to have Mango-Orange soda and that was heaven in a bottle.

You guys are making me weep with envy!!!

That is whey (as in “curds and . . .”) on top of the yogurt, not water. Whey contains lactose, vitamins, and minerals; just stir it back in. I’ll have to look for the blue agave syrup.

Love the peach salsa on grilled salmon.

French onion soup! It’s frozen, and the ONLY french onion soup I’ve ever found that’s vegetarian. It’s amazing.

for those of you who are costco shoppers, is the TJs peach salsa better than the Costco Mango Salsa? I use that on salmon but I’m willing to try something new.

1moremom…I’m actually a bit lactose intolerant so I don’t miss the whey.
