Yeah, that makes sense! I believe it will be good if they know. I just don’t want my application to be much less competitive than other students. ![]()
Updates: I got WL for UC Berkeley. And I am still waiting for the rest of the schools.
There will always be people that are more competitive than you, in every area and aspect of your life. Expect it.
There are students with multiple transcripts and varied grades. The admissions offices, at the universities, have their hands tied by logistics.
They are limited in how many students they can put in the seats.
They are also obligated to the state of California whose taxpayers pay the bills. The schools need to provide spaces for its state residents whose parents continue to pay the state’s bills (including supplementing the community collleges’ fees where you attend.)
You won’t know why you were waitlisted or why you were rejected from certain schools.
The priority for the UC is to educate it’s state residents.
