I’m not very familiar with transfer admissions so I was hoping those familiar with the University might be able to tell me if UVA is in my wheelhouse.
Freshman from New Jersey (OOS) Currently at George Washington University.
High School GPA: 3.1 (started off very poorly, gradually made my way up to honor roll second semester junior year).
AP AB Calc (as a junior): 5, AP French: 3, AP Comp Sci (as a sophomore): 3 (Also took Mulitivariable Calc as a senior which is post-AP level)
ECs: Student Government elected representative, co-founded ACLU club and acted as VP, Officer of the music club, VP of mental health club, Varsity Soccer, writer for the satirical newspaper.
SAT I 1360-2060
SAT II: Math 2: 780
GWU first semester GPA: 3.58
ECs: Writer for the Pre-Law journal, member of GW Democrats, member of Pre-Law association, and member of Students’ Music Coalition.
Also, I play guitar, bass, ukelele, and piano.
The Transfer FAQ on UVA’s website says that the average GPA is a 3.5. I was wondering if my HS GPA would bring that down even though my college GPA is above that.
Thanks in advance.
