Transfer credits when moving to different state?

My brother currently resides in Florida and I live in NJ
If I decide to move and attend college in Florida, how could I find out whether my credits from Jersey will transfer over or not?

Also, when I begin applications (which should be soon) am I allowed to list my brother’s address to qualify for in-state tuition?

Most if not all of your credits should transfer, but you would need to check with the (target) University. Some of your classes may not qualify to meet your major requirements. You’ll want to know if they transfer and if they count toward your major.

See the following link for info on in-state residency. Unless you’re a dependent of your brother, you will not be able to use him for residency. The link includes info on exceptions to the general rules.

Good Luck!
