Transfer for international students?

I am currently a high school senior entering university this fall. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get into any of my top universities. However, I have some great options available - the main one being UCSD.

I know that UcSD is a great school to develop me academically but it’s just not the right fit for me in terms of what I want from an overseas education. I was wondering whether it would be harder for me (an international student from Southeast Asia) to transfer to schools such as Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, and uMich for the next year as a sophomore?

Also, I was wondering whether they would need me to retake my standardised testings. My current ACT is a 31 and SAT at 1440 ( not exceptionally high for their standards.)

It is difficult for international students to transfer. If you are unhappy with UCSD and do not want to be there for all four years, take a gap year and create a new list of places to apply to.

And what do you want from an overseas education?

Any idea what you might study?

Is financial aid an issue? If so, it’s is nearly impossible for international transfers to get it compared to freshman applicants.
