what are pros/cons of the available housing options with respect to location, student mix, access to campus social life, etc.

Really depends on what YOU want.
looking for good social life (not going Greek), not too far from main social hubs of campus. housing does not necessarily need to be with other transfer students ( b/c dont want to be limited )…
