Has anyone transfered to private boarding high school (such as junior year) AND received generous financial aid? Or is financial aid mostly pegged for freshman who continue at the school?
Unlike many colleges, boarding schools students are eligible for aid regardless of the year you start
there is hope for you
i applied to a school for junior year and my grades aren’t great by any means (solid b student) i got 55k financial aid

At selective BS, junior year is extremely competitive and very hard to receive admission to. However, if you do receive admission, you will receive 100% of your demonstrated need (at most of the selective schools, thought most aren’t need blind they will meet need).
If you want to go to BS, repeat 10 is a more likely admit, but if that isn’t possible for you for any reason, you can still apply. Never know if you don’t try.
