I had tons of extracurriculars in High School, so I won’t list them all, but I did Student council all 4 years and was a varsity XC and Track runner for all four years (MVP for 2). I really want to compete in college as well.
Sup everyone, now that all of the decisions are heard back from the schools I applied. Here are my stats:

Applied to:UVA, William and Mary, Virginia tech, JMU
Accepted: UVA, tech, jmu
Rejected:none
Waitlisted: william and mary
Attending: UVA
Comments:I actually thought my essay was pretty damn good, especially my UVA and william and mary ones for “why I want to transfer.” I wrote about the nature of that kind of question and done if the basic implications it has, kind of a risky response, but it was pretty well written. I took a bunch of honors and aps in hs just fyi. In college first semester I basically only took typical core curriculum classes, very easy, probably a big reason I got a 3.8. Second semester I took all the more challenging first year classes, econ310, calc, bio, stat and a music class.
Honestly idek how I got into uva, I was expecting tech at best, and w&m if I got lucky.

@aihcxx is your transfer offer after 1 year? So you’d attend your current institution for another year?
@Dontskipthemoose I got the transfer option at the end of the regular decision cycle my senior year of high school, did my freshman year at Northeastern, and I’ll be transferring to Cornell in the fall as a sophomore. So the deal was one year elsewhere, 3 years at Cornell- I just completed the “one year”. All of the schools listed above are schools I applied to during my freshman year as a sophomore transfer.

Applied to:
Barnard, Wesleyan, Smith College
Got into: NONE!
Rejected: Barnard, Wesleyan, Smith
Waitlisted: NONE!
Other notes: I should’ve applied to way more than I did, and in hindsight, written “better” essays that made me stand-out, too. As for Smith, while it was a “match” school, my current institution failed to send out my reports on time, and thus, affected possible admittance. So, I’m stuck at the same school and pretty bitter about it even weeks after rejection because I’m very unhappy here. But I’m sure my crappy secondary record made it impossible to get in anywhere remotely competitive. Oh, well.

Called admissions office today and found out they already made the decision and just need to upload, print out, and mail my letter. Said I should receive it within 1-2 weeks so my guess is I’ll get it late next week or early the following week. Incredibly nervous because I applied rather late so I’m worried they didn’t have any spots open…
