<p>I am looking to transfer to uc davis. I had two questions. Question 1: If i failed a class and i retake it, with the failing grade factor into my gpa. Question 2: As a computer engineer major, will i have to live on campus?</p>

<p>No, if you retake a class you failed, the failing grade is replaced in your UC GPA. I’m not sure what happens if you have failed the class multiple times though. For the second question no you do not have to live on campus as a transfer. They offer SHA’s to transfers (student housing apartments) but they are more expensive than just finding a place to live off campus.</p>

<p>Just keep that GPA up, engineering is a competitive major.</p>
