Transfer to mcgill (2020 Fall)

Just called service point. They said it can go as far as August and that they are still reviewing transfer applicants. Don’t bother calling.

LOL. This year is extremely hard for transfer students.

Does anyone think about deferral issues? It seems passport and caq would cost at least two months.

Any updates guys?I am from the University of Western Ontario as an international first-year student. I applied for Mcgill‘s Art and Commerce program. My CGPA is 3.87 according to Mcgill standard, and the average is 87/100. I have an IELTS overall score of 7.5 and Listening with 9. I guess I am not one of the weakest candidates but I have been waiting like hell since May. ?Always RFR!!!

You won’t be able to come to Canada for a while and you don’t need to come for Fall. So no need to worry about the passport and such for now.

I am in Canada now. Don’t worry about the CAQ thing. International students whose study visas are delievered after mid-March cannot come here now.

My application to Arts changed to Further Review Required. They are requesting IB results.

Just got admitted as a Canadian transfer to arts. My CGPA was 3.8-4.0.

Congratulations!

But it is still possible that the online courses may affect work visa after graduate or may not calculated in time studying in Quebec, which is very important for international student who want to stay in Canada.

I’m from uwo also!! any changes recently on ur status? Me still ready for review…… I’m so anxious now and it seems everyone has already enrolled in their classes but we’re still waiting for their decision.

They asked me to submit an extra document on Thursday, I did that, and FRR till now lol.

I applied to Arts with a 3.6 CGPA. My application status just changed to Further Review Required this afternoon and McGill requires my high school transcript. My grades in 10th and 11th grade were not good, so I was worried about whether they would negatively affect my application.

Any updates guys?Anyone received an offer?

Bro if you have already finished two years in university, that shouldn‘t be a big problem.

August is looming and this week is coming to an end. Any updates, guys?

They asked me to upload my high school transcripts again yesterday. I actually have done that last December. What’s your situation?Saw that you were from outside canada?

FRR for over two months… Yas I am transferring from uni outside Canada. I am wondering if they continue to review the applications of international students…? As international students, we have many other things to settle. But these decisions seem never to be delivered, which makes me upset.

Dude, I understand you a lot, we are in the same boat. How many times did you try to call them? Also in this forum, there is someone who said he didn‘t get his decision until Aug16th last year. Anyway, relax and leave this behind. Who knows if it can give us a surprise oneday haha

E-mailed them once, called them once and talked to them once in service point. The responces are all the same, so no need to contact them anymore cuz it won’t help in the slightest.
