Transfer to UVA or Similar - SAT Again?

I am trying to transfer to UVA or a school with similar Business School rankings (U-Mich, Carnegie Mellon etc.). I will begin school at UNC Chapel Hill this August and was wondering if it would be appropriate to take the SAT one final time so when applying for a transfer, I’d increase my chances. Basically, would the whole SAT thing help or would it be more beneficial to simply study for a near 4.0 the first year?

I have in state for UVA because my dad works there.

Current score is 1860

(Final goal is to get a job in investment banking or hedge funds) - If this is relevant.

bump…

Do you not like the Keenan-Flager program at UNC-CH? It turns out some impressive graduates. Also, here is a link for you to see it’s rankings for each concentration:
[Rankings & Reputation - Undergraduate Business - UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School](Undergraduate Business | UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School)

I think it would behoove you to definitely give this a chance before you decide to look elsewhere. And, no, I do not believe taking the SAT again would benefit you. Your GPA and course rigor/load as well as EC’s will be the determining factor for each of these transfer programs.

Best to you!

Kenan-Flagler is going to put you in a position to get the type of job you want out of college (speaking as a McIntire alum). Enjoy Chapel Hill, it’s a great place.
