That’s what my friend was telling me… because university courses cover more material; any thoughts?

It depends…

Good:
Getting general elective credits eg. humanities credits for STEM students

skipping lower level classes when many others also skip, eg. Calc BC in most cases

Bad:
Passing through lower classes when the higher classes depend on lower classes’ material that is not covered in AP
