Transferring twice? (From FSU to UCF)

I enrolled at FSU in August 2013 as a International Affairs major. It’s my second year of college, technically, since I graduated high school in 2012 but I completed my AA at my local community college in August 2013 as well, so I came in as an upper-division transfer student.

FSU is kind of far from my hometown–a four hour drive, which is far for someone who’s rarely traveled all her life–and it’s been a little hard to accommodate since I don’t have my own transportation. There are a few reasons why I want to transfer back home–one being my parents are getting old and I want to be a little closer to them in case of any emergencies, and another big reason is I’m just not happy here. I love FSU and my program dearly, but I honestly figured out it wasn’t for me and I began looking into going back home (I have several hometown friends at UCF too). I had a couple bad experiences here too.

I will have completed about nine credit hours as of May (I’m in the process of withdrawing from a class :frowning: ) and as of now my GPA stands at 3.48.

I’m also receiving PELL grant in full and Bright Futures Medallion.

Would I be silly or unwise to transfer twice in my undergrad career?

Go where you will be happy and successful. If you can get into UCF, go!
