Does anyone have information on Lewis and Clark’s tuition exchange stats? We visited and my daughter liked it, but I haven’t seen any posts about it. Daughter is currently a junior. Thanks!
Glad to hear you had a good visit and that your daughter liked the school so much! I totally hear you about visiting when you’re not even sure you will be able to attend. At least now if you do get off the waitlist and have to make a quick decision you’ll be ready
That is very true!
Lewis and Clark does look like it is 11%-40%. I am not sure how that will play out though. This year even schools that said they were 11-40 seemed to not give out many awards. Maybe it will be better next year.
My D’s friend applied and is trying to get TE there this year. I will ask if they have heard back yet.
Does anyone have any past experience with UF tuition exchange? I emailed the liaison and all I got is the result will be out by 4/15.
For those on the Xavier WL they had 175+ students apply for 15-17 spots (TE & FACHEX) so less than 10% acceptance this year.
I was told the same - decisions released in April. I do not know of anyone who has received it in the past.
My kid received TE at st joes and they gave a 10 day timeline to decide. She’s not ready to decide yet. Anyone else have such a short time frame to decide at schools?
Remind them that you don’t need to make a decision until May 1.
For those of us with kids on TE waitlists we sure would appreciate people deciding sooner than later. But I do understand its a very difficult decision for some kids to make.
Especially if they are also waiting on FAFSA. It could be some schools end up being a good deal once FAFSA comes back.
As of today, I think we’ve heard from all of the schools that we applied for tuition exchange except for Drake. Drake indicated that they use financial need for TE and I don’t think we’re going to be needy enough. I’ve added my son’s information to the spreadsheet. Hopefully he can start making some decisions now.
I completely feel and understand that. She’s hoping to come off a waitlist at New Haven, and that’s why she’s torn. Also not knowing financial aid is so hard. Are you waiting for st Joes?
My kiddo declined St. Joe’s with TE yesterday- hope that opens up an award for someone!
Officially denied TE at Boston U (S24 was waitlisted for admission). So he’ll be declining the waitlist.
same with S24
No we are waiting for University of New England. We’re 6th on the waitlist but they only offer it to 3 people. We are also on the waitlist at St. Anselm and Roger Williams.
So this is nuts. I dont understand how my kid only got ONE TE. But taht once school charges room and board and comprehensive fee so still need to pay $27,000 a year! I am feeling sincere despair. Took the lower paying job for this “benefit”.
We are also visiting Chapman in two weeks - with my S25, interested in Film. We tour DePaul the first Friday in May. Seems like you have had some good success! I’m following along closely! Thanks for sharing.
What school did your child get TE at? We were surprised about the comprehensive fee at one my son got offered - Merrimack - its over $4,000 just for that fee and the room and board is high also.
