I emailed Tuition Exchange directly, and they confirmed that it would be 10 capped for 2025-2026 and beyond.
Oh, good to know!
Thank you so much for the list, there are some options on here that I hadn’t considered. I really want her to look at Case-Western now!
That’s really interesting. I wonder when they will update.
Apparently they are going to shut down the TE website (or at least the application portal part of it) for the month of June and roll out a new website/system at the beginning of July, so probably once the new system is online?
I’m surprised to see DePaul as other because it had been full tuition. I wonder what other means. I have 2 kids there now on Tuition Exchange scholarships. I’m now looking at the TE schools for my youngest.
It says in the note for DePaul on the TE website that “The Tuition Exchange Award is based on the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences tuition rate, but some other colleges may have slightly higher tuition.” So it sounds like it might fall a bit short of full if you are at, for example, at the Music and Theatre school (from a quick look at their tuition page). Thus they have to list it as “other” rather than “full.”
Oh that’s a good point and I should’ve known that. LOL One of my kids is a SOM student and the tuition is higher. The SOM added to the TE to make it “full tuition”.
So far the TE schools staying on D25’s list are: Wayne State U, Lindenwood, Maryville U, Stockton, Rider, Shenandoah, Creighton, LeMoyne, and Adelphi. As she is a 3.2 GPA student going test optional, I am doubting she will be awarded TE at any of them. Thus we are keeping a handful of non-TE schools on the list as well.
Since there are a couple of NJ schools on the list, what about Fairleigh Dickinson? They are at 60-90% of TE awards, and their average GPA is 3.2 according to the US News and World Report.
Not enough dance opportunities. She is considering criminal justice or social work type majors but wants the option to perform or take a dance minor.
FD does have a Dance Minor… (I was looking at their arts offerings recently)
Super bummed to hear of the cap of 10. My 2024 grad applied to 19 tuition exchange (got 7 offers) and is very happy with the college that he will attend (St. Norbert in WI) although it wasn’t his first choice. I felt like casting a wide net was really important. I guess that with my 2025 grad we will have to be more strategic…ugh.
Tentative TE list at the moment for D25…

Just got this info from Villanova (They did not offer any awards for 24/25):
*Villanova’s Tuition Exchange (TE) is very competitive, and the scholarships are limited but we will be offering Tuition Exchange Scholarships in 2025-26 academic year. The number of scholarships has not been determined at this time, but there’s a good chance it could be between 7-10 total scholarships. *
Villanova uses the tuition exchange set rate, which for 2024-2025 is $42,000. The set rate is determined by Tuition Exchange and usually increases $1,000 a year.
Our deadline for receiving import TE applications is February 1st. Student notification of who’s been awarded the Tuition Exchange Scholarship and who has been waitlisted is notified the beginning of April, regardless of when they apply.
Our Office of Admissions awards the Tuition Exchange Scholarships and ranks our applicants with the same criteria they do for admissions into Villanova University. Approximately 75 students of the 400 tuition exchange applications we received are admitted to Villanova. Tuition Exchange Scholarships are awarded at the point of initial enrollment as a first-year student to Villanova University. Students not selected for the scholarship as a first-year student will not be eligible for the Tuition Exchange Merit Scholarship in successive years while enrolled at Villanova University
We don’t require a FAFSA for Tuition Exchange. You would complete the FAFSA and CSS Profile if you have additional Institutional Need over the amount of the TE Scholarship or if you are interested in a Federal Loan you would need to complete the FAFSA. Our recommendation is to complete both the FAFSA and CSS Profile in the event the student doesn’t receive TE but is eligible for need based financial aid.
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any additional questions, please let me know.

There are a number of colleges on the TE list that appeal (i.e. Dickinson, Gettysburg), but they do set rate rather than full tuition, and are $$$$ so not on the list.
But if any of you fellow parents have first-hand (or reliable second-hand) knowledge of schools that meet all of the following conditions:
a) similar to the ones listed above (I realize that my list has some schools that are pretty different from each other, but still)
b) have tuition >50k, that do “set rate” yet
c) supplemented / stacked enough to make it equivalent to full tuition
I would love to know about your experience. (Please assume that we have carefully considered all the “full tuition” schools already).
Geographical specifications are basically East Coast / New England (but not Maine), nothing West of Pennsylvania. Not considering schools outside that perimeter.
This will be our first time around and Endicott in MA is a TE school that is recruiting our son for football. Anyone know how D3 sports recruits and TE might work? Is this an advantage that the school wants him for football or are they unrelated? Endicott is full tuition benefit -
The percentage of the new admitted TE candidates offered a TE scholarship for the current academic year:

This seems insanely competitive. Just wondering how sports plays into it all…
The TE EZ-Application launched today. They seem to have updated the website somewhat but it doesn’t seem to have made it easier to navigate and some information is gone - the “percentage of award offers” is not consistently on the school page. I also wish they’d let us search by school size (ie 5-10K) or some other characteristics.
My daughter’s top school is Duquesne and I have few ‘accepted’ TEs to compare to…
And you can’t search by percentages either.
What do you mean? I can still filter schools by “Percentage of Award Offer to new TE Candidates meeting admissions standard” same as before…
Edited to add: so it seems like the new search page indeed did away with the percentage filer. But I can still access the old search page, which still has that option.
