Just wondering- does every applicant receive a Gibson Portal login or only those accepted?
I haven’t received any notification from Tulane yet and I got one.
Just wanted to clear some confusion up about the Gibson portal!
- Gibson is where you will check the status of your financial aid only. Your Tulane status portal is only where you check status of your admission/merit scholarships.
- Getting any communication about Gibson has nothing to do with your admission status. The email that was sent out was sent out to anyone that has applied.
-When accessing Gibson, make sure you are using your Gibson pin. This is separate from your status portal login. There may be issues logging into Gibson due to the high volume of people trying to login as well.
To reiterate the Gibson email literally means nothing in regards to your admission decision. Admission decisions will continue to be released on the applicant portal every Monday evening.
So can decision come out any day (like an email or real mail) and only the applicant portal is updated on Mondays or can you only get a decision on Mondays? Thank you!!!

A tab appeared in my portal that said “admitted”. I clicked on it and it said “CONGRATULATIONS!
You have been admitted to one of the most prestigious institutions in the country. We cannot wait to welcome you into the Tulane family. It’s a busy time for you right now, so we’ve made it as easy as possible to find the information you need in order to make your decision.” Did I actually get in?
I do not believe so as I can view that same thing yet my portal hasn’t been updated @rjcolumbo13

There will be something that says update posted above where it says application submitted @rjcolumbo13
Ugh, if says “CONGRATULATIONS” You have been admitted… I would certainly think so. Was it not on your front page or did you have to click on Admitted tab to see it?
Maybe since the portal path has changed?
@loop2loop I had to click on the admitted tab but I had never seen that tab before so I thought my portal had updated and I had been accepted. Oh well.
No, you don’t even have to be logged in to see it. All you have to do is go to tulane.edu and click apply and you will see it. Plus if you try to sign up for admitted students day and log in with your info it will say error @loop2loop

Did anyone receive an acceptance via the mail today?
@rjcolumbo13 @loop2loop - all applicants are able to see the ‘Admitted’ tab. Although a little confusing, this does not mean you were admitted. I recommend waiting for the official letter in the mail for the most accurate admission information/decision.
Question: I was admitted on 11/10 and received $30K in aid. When I look on Gibson, I think it says that I need to accept the scholarship to complete my financial aid information. Is this correct (as in, do I have to accept to receive financial aid)? If I accept the scholarship, does that mean I won’t get the DHS or PTA?

Hey everyone!! I’ve decided to enter the world of College Confidential. I applied early action to Tulane University and my application was considered submitted October 23. I have yet to hear back, but I know a lot of people who haven’t heard back either. We have until December 20 but I know waiting is hard!
I had a question, for anyone who’s able to answer. It’s pretty general. For private schools like Tulane with the CSS Profile, am I required to submit my CSS profile before an admissions decision can be made?? Super important!
