I showed a lot of interest but also knew their RD had a 5% acceptance last year so I wasn’t expecting anything.

I think i was rejected. It says something in being a part of Tulane’s guaranteed transfer program

Waitlisted. 1500 SAT

DD waitlisted after EA deferral. Expected a rejection after deferral. Showed some but not a lot of interest. No formal tours, just stopped through while on vacation.

1420 SAT
3.8uw/4.2w
DD has some other acceptances in her pocket so she’s not too worried.

i forgot to mention i was deferred ea

@seniorlol Thats good though! A guaranteed transfer means the university still wants you and believes you have what it takes to succeed at the university, but in the end it still comes down to available spaces. A guaranteed transfer opportunity should be considered better than a waitlist. You should be proud!

Accepted!!! And I am in shock. My essays were really good.

I find these results all over the board. Seems top candidates were WL and average to low average were accepted. Is there a financial piece to that I wonder? - DS stats-

10 aps
Eagle scout
1440 SAT
tons of demonstrated interest.
Very good why Tulane essay.
Kind of surprising. I do have a northeastern acceptance though so if I don’t get off the waitlist, I got a good 2nd choice

How easy and/or hard is it to get off the waitlist

The waitlist varies by year. With the uncertainty of the fall semester at many schoolsws, coupled with the stock market mess and job losses, there should I would think be a lot of movement during the summer melt.
