If you got deferred, can you still make it into the honors program?
Deferred from Architecture. Would those of you who were accepted mind sharing SATs, GPAs and other relevant info such as demonstrated interested?
Super disappointed. Feel like my daughter did everything she could short of ED.
Son deferred. Stats well within range. Even on the high side, but we couldn’t afford to visit. :(. Do they reject anyone? What’s the point of deferral if your chance of admission now is about 1%?! ( Congratulations to those accepted).

@5OnTheHill 1500 SAT, GPA is 97.5/100 Weighted, 6 AP courses & 8 Aceelerated courses, top 1000 high school, Model UN/Debate/Student Council leadership, No Demonstrated Interest outside of attending visit by AdCom to my HS & sending a random email to AdCom about getting alumni contacts, 10/10 interview (my guy admitted he loved our interview at the end and we fundamentally agreed on some philosophical issues in our discussion)
@5OnTheHill Don’t be discouraged though! Architecture is one of those extra hard majors. My friend is applying for architecture and even typical safety schools are considered a reach because the major has very very limited seats. Good luck!!

So if you were deferred, does that mean no DHS or Community Service Award even though those decisions have not been made yet? My daughter is devastated. This was one of her top choices - perfect GPA and perfect ACT, NMSC semi-finalist. I just don’t get it.

Accepted! Trustee scholarship and honors. I was honestly expecting to be deferred. I visited once and attended a visit when my admissions rep came to my city.

16 AP classes, tons of ECs in my area of interest, 900+ service hours.
Why tulane essay was super good. Completing that is basically a requirement for admission even though it says optional.
