Turkish girl for an Ivy League University?

Hey everyone,
I’m a sophomore, I just finished my freshman year and I want to study in Columbia or NYU… I’m interested in History of Art and I take IGCSE (just because my school forces me), SAT, TOEFL. I have a lot of extra curricular such as helping the kids in public schools (public schools in Turkey are in a very bad shape, I’m in a very good top 20 Turkish private school), I’m in a lot of student groups (I’m the president of all of them) and I work with Greenpeace Turkey and I have a very popular blog on how to make the world a better place.
What do you think, am I a good future-student?
I will take the SATs this year…

Oh and I’m in the debate and the newspaper group. I know Turkish, English and Spanish. I will start to learn Greek this year.

Take a look at Barnard as well.

How are your grades?

You might benefit from being Turkish… and if your ECs, grades, and test scores are good, you will have a great shot at getting in.
