I am just now thinking about it…why when the main lead of the show is a female it is dubbed a guy show, but when it is a guy it can be unisex?

umm.

what?

Gossip Girl, 90210, Desperate Housewives

I don’t watch any of those shows, but I think the main lead is a female :/

Also the hills, the city , secret life of the american teenager, pretty little liars, gilmore girls, the Oprah winfrey show, the Tyra show, America’s next top model, desperate housewives, sixteen and pregnant, teen mom, paris hilton’s my new bff, Laguna beach, the OC, I could go on but there’s really no point. Most shows with girl leads are girl shows.

Yeah I don’t quite understand where OP gets this from… lol

lolwuttttt?

lmao^ basically…

http://www.eatliver.com/img/2010/5328.jpg

If you adjust the OP to say “girl” instead of “guy,” there’s a true statement.

Example:
The Middle-definitely a women’s show
The King of Queens-men and women watch

what? the hills is not a girl show

Yes I do find this strange. It’s like how if Harry Potter were really Harriet Potter, it would lose half its audience. Maybe women are okay with reading about boys but not vice versa.

Its probably because girl books and tv shows are typically about romance and/or shopping/clothes and/or trying to be popular/famous or something of the sort. even the girl adventure books make finding the guy one of the top priorities (and its always she finally gets her dream guy but it isn’t what she expects so she decides she wants the dependable boring guy who was there for her all along) guys typically aren’t huge fans of things like that. Guy books and movies are usually a bit more appealing to everyone

■■■■■!! Yeah I meant girl show not a guy show lol I was wondering why everyone was disagreeing with me

can someone tell me why the hills is considered a girl show

Okay say what the hills is about than think about it…
