Two Minute Audition Monologue Ideas

I am looking for a two minute female monologue for a musical theatre audition for AMDA. Must be a monologue with a lot of character, and gives the actor the opportunity to showcase a range of skills. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!!
-Thanks!

Sorry. You (or your D?) are really going to have to find your own monologues. Nobody can tell you what will be the right monologue for you, we haven’t even met you. And it’s a good idea to find a monologue that isn’t too well known, for many reasons.

People here have said they can read 100 plays searching for their monologue.

Start by reading the plays written by your favorite playwrights. Particularly the lesser-known/less-performed plays by those playwrights. A 2 minute monologue is actually quite short–you are not looking for something like a 20 minute monologue (I think of “La Bete” and “Balm in Gilead” which both have 20 minute monologues)

It also needs to be right for the auditioner’s “type”, which includes age, and sometimes other factors.

Although you are auditioning in MT, you don’t need to limit yourself to musicals when choosing the monologue.
