Two Questions...

Can someone help me with finding out my GPA? I found this calculating spreasheet site and I have 93.3% average (from Canada) and it converted that to a 3.8 GPA but then I talked to someone at my school and she was applying in the US and she said her 93% average was above a 4.0 and my school does not offer AP courses. I dont understand, someone help me!

Second question…If you go to school in the US and you’re on a student visa, can you work? i’ve heard as long as you’re a student on a visa, you are not allowed to work. you have to finish your student visa term, and get a work visa or green card if you’re staying. is that true?

I’d like the answer to this question too – my average right now is an 87%, and everyone says it is a 3.4-3.5, but in Ontario, Canada it is considered an A average. I’m confused…

You need to apply for a social security number to work on campus.
