<p>Does anyone know the type of calculator that must be purchased for college? My son is taking college algebra and trig this first year. I don’t know what other maths he will be required to take but I was wondering what to buy to last him through college?</p>
<p>I’m not sure for algebra/trig. Best bet is to contact the professor and ask what is required.</p>
<p>For most classes (such as calculus and physics), a simple scientific calculator that does sin/cos/tan should suffice.</p>
