Typical Suburban White Girl

Hello everyone,
So I am applying to somewhat selective colleges- not Ivy League, but good schools such as Holy Cross, University of Rochester, Lehigh, Fordham, RPI ect.
My concern is I feel that I’m just a typical applicant that they see hundreds of, and have not done anything to make me stand out, nor do I have any minority benefits.
My grades are decent- I have a 3.8 on a 4.0 unweighted scale, I took AP US History, I took Calculus over the summer, and I’m taking all AP classes this year. I also did a research project in a lab for the past year, and I do volunteer work.
I feel like I’m just 1 in a million. I’m mostly interested in Holy Cross, and I was wondering if anyone had any information about accepted applicants? I come from a Catholic high school school, if that matters to Holy Cross.
My SAT scores are:
Math-600
Critical Reading- 690
Writing-710

ACT-29

Any information from students, parents, or admissions people would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You might as well apply to lower ivy’s like cornell. You have a great GPA, Great SAT/ACT, and some decent EC’s. You are in at holy cross. Make sure to apply to some reach schools as well. You have good stats.

Chance me as well:

Your list is fine, and you’ll have some choices to make when decisions come out.

nice chances…it would be nice if you would elaborate on your EC’s more

EC’s:
Basketball- 9, 10 *Awarded Most Improved 9th
XC-9,10
Lax- 10
Chorus- 9,10,11,12 *NYSSMA All State Level grade of 98; qualified for area all state
Junior Ladies of Charity-10,11,12
St. Peter’s Hospital Volunteer-11,12

Church Cantor-9,10,11,12

I also have worked on a research project about angiogenesis inhibition as a cancer treatment.

…bump.
WILL CHANCE BACK ANYONE WHO REPLIES. thanks in advance!

You will get into those schools no problem. I suggest that you apply to some higher reach schools because I think you might have a great shot at those too. Good luck to you!

Chance me back!

thank you everyone!
anyone else chance me? will chance back.

should be completely fine at Holy Cross. my next door neighbor who’s American (i live in Germany) graduated from Holy Cross and he seemed to think that his school wasn’t THAT interested in being one of those more ‘quirky’ schools… don’t know what that’s supposed to mean exactly but maybe it’s relevant here lol
my chance thread could be located by clicking on my username! thanks a bunch:)

good shot for all listed schools, try some upper echelon schools as well. It is really the atmosphere you think best suits your growth
