@SRD11 I think you are correct about the deposit page. The difference is that in years past, they mailed out the decisions so they made the payment portal live when they mailed them and there would be a lag (mailing time) before people got their decision. I would think they will post the decisions and make the payment portal live at the same time this year. Good luck to you!

I’m looking at my portal. Nothing has changed. So, I’m assuming that either 1) I didn’t get accepted, or 2) they haven’t released/updated anything yet. If someone see differently on the portal, please let me know. Thanks.
@SRTD11 We are in the same boat! Waiting to hear about our daughter also. Her brother goes to Richmond and that’s the only place she wants to be! Going ED really raises your chances. The Common Data set from 2018 had a 48% acceptance rate for ED, so your chances are good. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Not yet. My guess (just a guess), is that they will release information after the school day is over. It just makes sense that they would want kids to get the information once they are at home and able to absorb the good (or bad) news without distraction. It would seem like the thoughtful thing to do, and judging from my daughter’s interactions with them, they seem pretty thoughtful.
Yes. My brother went through all of this last year. It seemed like everything was released on a Friday at 5:00 pm (or 5:30) for the time zone where the school was located.
Did anyone’s portal go blank? None of my application materials are there anymore.

Is there a good chance of decisions being released today? I still feel like its too early.
@srtd11 I have no idea, but, going by previous years, they didn’t update the portal. They sent a letter by regular mail. That letter, according to people on this board, went out about one week prior to Dec 15th. This year, they are letting people know through the portal. So, if they keep the timeline based on prior years, then now is roughly when the letters were mailed.
The application section is no longer there but the financial aid checklist, application tools and address verification still appear. Is yours the same?
Mine shows 6 bullet points after the word “reminders”, a second section titled “Application Tools” and a third section titled “Verify Address”. One of the bullet points says I don’t currently have a Financial Aid application on file, but my father just submitted the FAFSA a few days ago. Other than that, I haven’t done anything else. If mine is significantly different than others’ portals, then I would assume it’s not good news for me, but I don’t know.
UR Admissions tweeted out that ED1 decisions will be released today:
“We’re so excited for ED1 decisions to be released later today! Be sure to check your email for more information”
