UBC vs Queen's

I am having trouble choosing whether I should go to University of British Columbia or Queen’s University. I just need your personal opinions. Which one is good school for Faculty of Arts?

Also, the most important is, I am hearing impaired student. My grades are still excellent but I believe I still need support such as note-taking, special things, and others. I’m just wondering if UBC and Queen’s do have good support.

Thank you! :)

Have you visited both schools? They are very different, in many ways. For accomodations for your hearing impairment, you should contact each school to learn what options they have available to you.

Most Universities in Canada do have facilities or program to assist with hearing impairment. My D is totally deaf in one ear and we went through the same concerns. She ended up in the States for her undergrad but again there was no problem. We approached the Universities and asked straight out if they had facilities to have someone take notes for her etc. and were always told yes. We asked if she could record the lecture so that she could listen again latter to make sure she understood and the only thing we were told is that the University has no problem with that but you need to get the Prof’s permission since technically it copy written material. Weird but that is what we were told. Never had to use any of it but it was nice to know.
