<p>How good is UBs accounting program and how hard is it to get in?</p>
<p>Very good and cheap. It doesnt matter where you go to school for accounting, thats probably the only business major it doesnt matter for bc they will ALL prepare you for the CPA. Any business school thats accredited is fine for accounting, if you dont believe me look up taxguy here on CC. He devoted an entire thread to everything to know about accounting. Im an accounting major too who might transfer to UB if i choose it over the private schools that accepted me that were ranked higher but much more expensive. Its not hard to get into trust me. Good school, good program, great price.</p>
<p>My son just got accepted to the accounting program at UB. He is a sophomore. You need to maintain a certain GPA to get into the program but I am not sure what it is off the top of my head. I do know that the accounting program now is a 5 year program because of the new requirements need to sit for the CPA exam. It is not an easy major compared to other majors in the business school. I believe that at UB if you complete the program you will get a MS in accounting after 5 years.</p>
<p>management, finance etc.etc is a strong program at UB. (also including accounting)</p>
