UC Berkeley 2016 Transfer Thread

@UCLAFFF If rejected, there’s a link to “view update” then you will see a decision letter. Don’t know the situation if you are accepted…

For the UC’s I’ve been admitted to, it was just on the main page when I signed in.

I would assume the area where it says:

“Your application has been received and is currently under review.
Decisions will be available on April 29, 2016.
Questions? Click here for Application FAQs.”

will be updated to reflect the change.

nothing can make you more anxious than waiting for Berkeley decision after getting waitlisted for UCLA

@Hiroaki0422 Completely agree.

Now the Berkeley anxiety kicks in…6 more days :((

@Hiroaki0422 Nothing can make you more anxious than waiting for Berkeley after getting REJECTED from UCLA D:

Does anyone know what time decisions will be posted on Friday?

Probably 5pm PST

@TransferJ Berkeley just chooses people however they wish. There is no application. Recipients find out after they are admitted, I believe (probably mid-May, but perhaps earlier, I dunno).

Is it true that if you get accepted into UCLA then you won’t get accepted in UCB?

@pereaa if anything you should feel encouraged since UCLA and UCB have a similar holistic approach. You should take it as a good sign!

@pereaa Absolutely not true.

And thanks @ibtes96 and @MikeSauce

@UCLA77 @MikeSauce I hope so! Thank you!

Guys it is true that different major admission in UCB value GPA, ECs, and essay differently. Like Haas really look at your essay while engineering really look at your GPA?

six more days…

@kolo113 I think thats all skepticism at this point haha however Berkeley does pride itself by having an holistic approach… might as well just wait for the results… 6 more days… enjoy the ride :stuck_out_tongue:

Did any of you guys apply to out of state schools?

Would all of the decisions already been made at this time?

In terms of a holistic approach, how do they measure the “worth” of a certain category? I know that on the UC Berkeley page stated the certain criteria. Does the order on here depict the notions of weighing 1 criteria more than the second one? How do they holistically analyze it then? Basically, is there a certain formula that they use? LOL :open_mouth:

And I do not know what the University Honors mean,or who gets invited, however, I got invited to apply for University Honors at UC Riverside. They sent me a message stating that they recognize my academic performance and leadership. What does that mean? And does that have a correlation to UC Berkeley’s decision? Did anyone get that email as well?

Weighing in meaning, 1 weighs more than criteria 2? IDK but I am so anxious. :confused:
