UC Berkeley 2016 Transfer Thread

Humanities is > 40% :smiley:

@resonanx not to be picky, but it was actually 99 out of 1314 applicants for CAS, 36 out of 391 for engineering, so 7.5% and 9.2% acceptance rates respectively.

@keurimja OH yeah I read the wrong part of the column lol

Chance me for Berkeley? :slight_smile:
-GPA: 3.89 UC GPA as I am a UC-UC transfer
-Major: Environmental Economics and Policy (Finished Prereq’s)
-Essays: 8/10
-EC’s: Internship at the United Nations, Global Brigades Board Member, Morgan Stanley Financial Training Program, Sony Tax accounting internship
-Rejected from UCLA for Environmental Science (Didn’t finish science prereqs)

72 hours left guys…

:))

@goldencub thank you :slight_smile:

We are in the final week, do people really need to be “chanced” 3 days before the decision??

Guys, try to use the following link to log in your portal, there is something different.
https://apply.berkeley.edu/account/login?

@JapanUC IT’S HAPPENING

APPLICATION MANAGEMENT

Start a new application? Did someone click that?

What does that even mean?

It’s just some hidden function of the application system… MAP@Berkeley uses the most widely used application management system. “Start a new application” function is used by some school like UChicago. This page exists in the system but Berkeley does not use it, so there’s no open link to it. But if we manually type in the address, we see it… I think that’s it.

The link given by Berkeley will redirect you to https://apply.berkeley.edu/apply/status after login.

Oh, yeah. Nothing’s changed.

Hoping to be a golden bear just like my dad. Good luck guys!!

Does anyone know what the best housing options are?

I’m hoping to get into one of the co-ops, but the waiting list is formidable. By far the cheapest option I’ve seen, though, and it seems they could be fun if I got in the right one. There are of course the dorms, but they’re very expensive. Off-campus isn’t cheap either and it’s competitive, but there’s obviously more variety.

People’s Park Village is a fantastic location with wonderful views, friendly neighbors, and a quaint atmosphere - truly an area that never sleeps.
