Hey guys! Poli Sci major who got accepted today here. I have a question. Does anyone know if Cal is lenient when it comes to deferring? I am being offered an internship through the State Department this fall and its directly related to my major and I don’t want to turn it down. But my admission is obviously more important…
Also, will I lose blue and gold if I do that?
Who is going to appeal?
would having A’s in pre req classes in progress be enough to appeal?

what are your guys’ thoughts on ucla biz econ vs. uc berkeley’s econ (not haas)?
i still don’t really know what i’d like to do post-graduation but it’s definitely not ibanking. my dream job would be doing something perhaps finance or business development related w/ riot games if that helps haha

After you have SIR’d Berkeley, log into cal central with your MAP ID. You will see a ‘Berkeley CalNet ID’ option on the Tasks-Future tab. If you go to that link, it lets us make a CalNet ID.
Usually appeals are reserved for NEW information. So if you want to have a successful appeal you should focus on providing new information not already considered.
What day are you all (those who have been admitted and will be attending Berkeley) planning on attending CalSO?

Hey everyone, I got accepted today as a media studies major!!!
I have completed 5 out of the 7 pre-reqs for media studies, however on my application it says that I plan on taking History 12, my 6th pre-req, this semester but I ended up switching that class for a journalism class which is not a pre-req for Berkeley…
The only reason I did it was because I never even dreamed of getting into Berkeley but now I’m really scared that they’ll rescind their offer…
What do you guys think??
