Hi @Calbear2016fall, have you created CalNet ID? I actually have the same issue as @accessforbidden It won’t let me create one after I paid $100 for SIR.
I dropped one course without a grade, which is not my major pre-req nor GE, and I have already taken 90 quarter units… Can it negatively affect the admission decision?
@jw77777 Not sure–I had somehow missed until recently that I wasn’t taking a recommended programming course for prospective UCLA math majors…though not an actual prereq. My stats are good but not amazing, so honestly Berkeley’s acceptance was waaaaay bigger a surprise to me than UCLA’s rejection.
I did retake a class that I’d gotten a D in back in '09 at another school, and got an A the second time around. I’d be surprised if that had any impact on the decision though.

Got rejected by Berkeley with a 4.0 GPA. I’m not upset about this but I really wanted to know why.
I applied Berkeley as a Media Studies major, and I was accepted by UCLA as a communication major. Apparently, it’s commonly known that UCLA’s communication program is way more competitive and better than Berkeley’s Media Studies program so I’m puzzled by the decision lol. I probably sound a bit bitter here but is there a way where I can get an explanation? lol Previous kids got in this major with like a 3.6-3.7. Plus I completeled 4/4 of my pre-reqzzzzzz

@Sumner call admissions to find out, it is really frustrating if we do not know. I also notice some with perfect GPA got rejected, and some with lower GPA are accepted. Maybe the holistic review process or what ?
My son got accepted, while his good friend with same GPA 4.0 and the same classes with him is rejected. Try to appeal if possible.
I opened my conditions of admission and noticed that there’s a course listed I’m not enrolled in. I checked my MAPS@berkeley TAU a billion times and even had my TAP advisor review it prior to submission to make sure no mistakes were made.
On the UC app I have the correct information for the courses I’m taking this spring semester and I can prove that I’m not enrolled in that specific course. Freaking out right now. Ahhhhh.
@beth28 Yea, I’m going to appeal. It’s so weird cause historically, I saw so many communication kids be like “Got rejected by UCLA 
So now I have to decide between Berkeley’s media studies and UCSD”. LOL I think i’m the first one who got rejected by Berkeley and accepted to UCLA’s comm.
I’m not too upset about it, but it just sucks to get a rejection lol

Does anybody know if I can accept an offer from both uc Berkeley and csu easy bay. I got accept into berkeley but not until spring 2017 and i would like to go to csueb during the fall. I know i have to get official approval from berkeley, but in the meantime can i accept csueb’s offer since the deadline is may 1 otherwise by acceptance gets revoked, can i do this or will i get in trouble?

i accepted berkeley’s SIR but i wasn’t prompted to pay anything or notified that i owed money. where do i go to pay?
