I’m taking 30000 in loans
@Philosoup You just send the transcript from which school you graduated from. I had the same issue and the high school from which you graduated from will have all your grades including from when you transferred so send it from the school where you graduated!
@briank82 he?? I am a female hahahaha
She.
Sorry.
Two of my classmates in one of my philosophy classes also got accepted to Berkeley! We exchanged numbers in case on of us stumbles upon a good housing option. How convenient!
Anyone by any chance driving up for CalSo June 20th from the LA area and can take a passenger?
@CCCtransfah are you not eligible for the golden bear express?
Does anyone know when they’ll get back about appeals?
@accessforbidden I’m not, unfortunately.
Where are you guys finding information about CalSo?
Has anyone been able see their financial aid without a SIR?
Can i cancel my reservation for a guest for CalSO?
Yeah CalSO is not mandatory, because obviously not everyone will be free in June. I definitely can’t go
Which means people like me have to wait to register for classes…oh and guys don’t freak out about high school grades. They have zero bearing on your admission as a transfer. As previously noted, Berkeley has to verify that you graduated and are eligible to attend.
@melon12312 my husband’s also on the quarter system. His counselor told him to let him know once he chooses where he’s transferring to and they will call and notify the college about my husband being on the quarter system. Aparently his counselor said they’re used to it. So I’d check with yours.
@ivy2018 You can access your financial aid award without SIRing. That’s what my husband and I did. It sealed the deal lol
Also, we’re not in SoCal but we’re applying to family housing (we have 3 kiddos)
@Sanla124 He got in?! I forget - did you apply as well?
Congratulations!!!
@goldencub Thanks!
yep he got in! and congrats to you!!
He made a profile and and has been posting his stats, so I’ve just been slacking lol
He got accepted to all he applied to: UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCD for MechEng with a 3.93.
I was going to attempt going and then go for an accelerated BSN program later, but I’m going to finish my prereqs and just go straight into a nursing program from there.
I just got a phone call from a student at Berkeley asking me if I had questions and such. It is a nice touch!
Is anyone else planning on applying to live in the dorms? Just curious because it seems like everyone is doing off-campus housing.
@katastrophic42 I have applied to the martinez commons on campus.
I also got a call from a transfer student at Cal, but he was pretty awkward, haha.
