Hey you guys. For housing… have any of you signed up for the co-ops? If so, when do you think we’ll get notice that we got admitted in/not (the latter being more probable lol). I signed up yesterday so I don’t know how long to wait for a response tbh or if its even worth holding out hope haha.
@billydee what’s your major?
@goldencub yeah I’m not paying for Berkeley to send my transcript to Berkeley… I’m going to stop by this week or next to week to make sure, but I’m sure that we are fine.
@tooweirdyo I live in a coop and you have to apply about a year before you want housing to get a spot
For all the people that got the message about the update to their conditions. I think it is sent to everyone who submits their academic update. I submitted mine and said that I was changing nothing save for a typo on my HS attendance dates. I also got the email but their are no changes as far as I can tell.
@Steph2022 ya thatt what mine says too
For those of you who are not going to CalSO, how r u guys going to register for classes?
@cupcake925 Do you have any information about registering for classes without going to CalSo? I don’t want to go either but my advisor keeps saying that’s the fastest way to register for classes…
@tooweirdyo They told me they would be doing another round of offers by the end of this week. You likely won’t get one depending on your priority, but I think you’ll get more info about where you are on the waitlist. And if you’re EOP you go above everyone else with no points who is not EOP, so it depends on your priority how long you’ll have to wait. Also how many houses you put down you were willing to live in.
Hello @cupcake925
So what are you going to do about registering for classes? I’m so bummed and a little scared.
@iccricri @ssstorin It’s been super confusing but as far as I can tell if you don’t go to CalSO you will be contacted around the end of June to do an online orientation and then you will be able to register. So I guess we’ll take what’s left
I’ll be in Jordan so I can’t go. But if you can go I definitely think it’s worth it.
Did any of you guys receive an email about the interview of the Berkeley TAAP/KASP scholarship interview today at 3:28 pm?
Does anyone know if it’s possible to attend another four year institution this fall if you were accepted as a spring admit to Cal for January 2017? I checked on the admissions FAQ page, and it says that you can if you get approval from the admissions office. Just wondering if anyone was considering doing this also?
I got accepted to UCLA for fall 2016, but I plan on attending Cal for Spring since their business program would be a better fit for me. Just curious if anyone else is in the same boat as I am.
I got an email saying I’m EOP. I’m not first gen. I’m super white. Not low income.
Is there any advantage to being in EOP beyond the guidance and assistance you get?
Is the academic program planner on beehive where we will get to see our degree course requirements whenever they release it for the rest of us? It is what I have been assuming but does anyone know for sure?
The forms should have been sent via email. (They are usually google questionnaires) If they only have a survey this year, they might even send it after the welcome event.
They will also have vanpools to pick you up from the airport and bring you to campus and to the lodging accommodations.
Realistically your on the outside looking in for the Co-ops. Did you list the big houses like CZ and Cloyne in your preferences?
Co-op priority is the only thing that comes to mind. That said, the Carroll Grant is really good source of funding that is only open to EOP verified students.
I think you’re talking bout the [degree audit report system](http://registrar.berkeley.edu/academic-records/degree-audit-report)?

@briank82 I believe the application has a checkbox for EOP if you want more info. Perhaps you checked it by mistake.
@by3000 im in the same boat. I got admitted for spring 2017 and i want to go to csu east bay for the fall cause i don’t want to miss a whole semester. I emailed admissions about it and how i can get approval but they have yet to reapond and highly doubt they will email me back cause i emailed them hella months ago about somethimg else and they never emailed me back.
