My Transfer Planner is finally up on behive for those of us who have been waiting patiently.
Oh Boy!
Hey you guys, how do you know what # you are on for the co-ops waitlist?? And for those that are EOP, how did you get this verified for co-ops?
@mickromero7 They sent out a waiting list on Friday that was as of May 9th to those who had applied. If you ask EOP to add you to the co-op verification list they can do it. You can also call the co-op office and see if they have you verified in their system.
@tada77 @muchalucha do they tell you what number you are on the waitlist?
@Ohm888 Yes, if you applied before they compiled the list I imagine. I applied a week before decisions came out, am EOP, and I’m 205 on the women’s list. So it’s highly competitive-the women’s list is almost 700 long
FYI: If your planning to use only part of summer to gain points for the co-ops, be advised that there is a grace period before you accrue your points. Don’t expect to begin boarding in late June and get your points in time for the last Fall assignments.
It’s almost impossible to find subletters for summer this late. The only ones realistically looking are international students who scored late summer internships and newly admitted transfers who decide to attend a summer session.
If your not picky about housing (especially proximity to campus), I think the rent savings would be worth the risk of holding off signing a lease. That said, housing is at a premium and I would be very hesitant on waiting too long. IMHO around June 27th (a week after the start of the main summer session) is the latest I would wait. The “good” housing options usually diminish rapidly after that.
Anyone hear from regents yet??
@TransferJ a couple people posted on the Facebook saying they got it. No email, just a changed financial award
Hello, everyone,
I, too, got admitted into UC Berkeley for Fall 2016. I plan to appeal for a Major In Mathematics. Looking online, at the University’s ‘Major Requirements and Declaring a Major’ page, they advise transfer students to consult undergraduate admissions advisers (I’m sure you all know this).
My question is, what has been your experience with them? If you are transferring as a math major, how did the process go for you?
So I did not receive an email from financial aid, but I was on Cal Central today and I had a new update
“Congratulations! You have been awarded the Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship! Please review your scholarship award offer by going to “My Finances” and clicking on “Details” in the “Financial Aid and Scholarships 2016-17” section. Be sure to check your Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship Award Letter on the Map@Berkeley portal for instructions on how to accept the scholarship.”
I would recommend people check Cal Central ASAP to see if they got it!
wow congrats did you check your portal at all yesterday? Cause I heard most were sent out yesterday
Mine was sent out today at 1130 AM!!
So they might still be emailing recipients
I hope so
Can you give us some specs about yourself?? Maybe they release by alphabetical by last name?
Do you mean stats? My last name starts with an S, so it makes sense that I’d be near the end of the roster
yes I meant stats haahah soryy
congrats @MikeSauce !!! did you also get regents for UCLA?
My stats are out there in multiple threads, but in general I suppose I had a few things going for me, first gen, veteran, oldest of 5 kids, parents are blue collar workers, GPA 4. transferable, All California Academic Team, strong volunteer work and other EC’s. I honestly couldn’t tell you what exactly they’re looking for tho.
@themightybicycle I received the email to apply, but I decided not to.
Do you guys know if cal will rescind me if I get a C in Calculus? I have above a 3.0 and won’t fail any classes this semester…
