@sike4123 Thanks for the response. It was really helpful! Do you know how I would have to inform them of my surgery?
Is the general consensus that berk might start releasing acceptances tomorrow? Gah I hope they do
@fiercehearted @ncc1738 Awesome!!! Good luck to all of you guys. I hope you guys get in!!
@thenewstyped i think that the first wave will be tuesday
@clearglassy May I ask why you think that the first wave will be Tuesday? Lol
@jliu30 I’m not too sure on that one. I’d say to only tell them once your grades drop and you don’t meet the admission contract. But hopefully you don’t have to worry about that!!
EDIT: Whoops, I completely misread what you said. After you get admitted, there should be a method of contacting them about updates in your grades in your portal. At least, that’s how it is on my admissions portal for UCLA. You should be able to inform them in the drop of your grades and explain why( your surgery). But like I said, only do this if you don’t meet the conditions of admission( hopefully not!). Good luck!!
@sike4123 Thanks so much for your help! I will definitely make sure to check that out. Good luck to you too!
@lostinlife2021 last year berkeley accepted people on May 2nd (mostly in state) and May 10th (mostly oos)
@blinkblink17 Thanks for answering!! So, I guess I still have another week of waiting :-S
@lostinlife2021 np! haha same here.
@blinkblink17 Are the first two waves the largest?
Hi, do you know what time they released the acceptances via portal
on May 2nd?
@lostinlife2021 i think so
@sf9ergirl i think around 3-4 pm (not entirely sure that it would be on May 2nd tho, just a speculation)
Thanks for the ETA @blinkblink17
So this is waitlist for freshman not for transfer
Also for the May 2nd thing last year Berkeley’s SIR date was May 2nd (which is when waitlists also came out). So hopefully since this year the SIR date is May 1st, waitlist stuff also comes out tomorrow too gahhh
I am waitlisted at 3 colleges, including UCB. If I get accepted off of UCB’s waitlist, I have 7 days to accept my offer as far as I understand. However, if other colleges notify me of my waitlist decision after those 7 days have passed, what do I do? I would like to know all 3 colleges’ waitlist decisions before making a final choice
So people are putting money on tomorrow being first wave rather than today?
@qwer7y you are allowed to accept offers from multiple colleges, so while waiting for your other wailist offers you can pay the SIR amount and then not attend if a school you desire to go to more also says yes. The only drawback is that you then lose the money you used to commit to another school so according to your economic background that might be a problem or not.
